A brother and true friend has left us for his heavenly abode. We were devastated by this news particularly as he was an integral part of our family. My daughter in law put it best. He was such a special soul, funny, witty and always knew how to bring joy to everyone around him. He had this incredible way of making you feel important no matter what. He left a lasting memory on us which will always bring a smile even through the sadness. RIP brother.
With friends and relations on one of their regular visits to Sydney
Lenny will be remembered for many brilliant achievements in his life time. Firstly that he was known as President Jomo Kenyatta's publisher ... Lenny started work in a newspaper in the print section. when the Kenya Government opened a publishing house, Lenny was selected for the job of Publisher. He made publishing the work of his life for many, many years and rewards were good. You can see he though big even when he was just a kid. In the photograph below is cool the Pontiac's radiator. He picked the Pontiac after the Coup in what the Belgian Congo which resulted in lots of super cars being rushed into Kenya. The Pontiac was later painted blue and black by the Ahluwalia brothers. We were all part of the Pangani Chini gang which had its headquarters in the Ahluwalia family home. Wonderful unforgetable days!

Lenny was a very special person who always joked around and was such a pleasure to have as our first cousin. I was shocked to hear of his passing so soon after his illness. He is now with his lovely sister Merlin, his mum Hilda and dad Martin. May he rest in eternal peace.

We have a special bond that goes back to the days when we were all kids. Our whole family took to Lenny, even our house servant Macharia (aka Bwana chai, the tea maker ... all day) who supplied our "gang" with copious amounts of chai on the Pangani road side gutters in front of our house. RIEP Lenny.

He was a one in a million person, and he left me with particularly fond and lasting memories of things he did for me when I was 18yo that I will always treasure. He was one of the kindest and most generous persons I've known. Fly high with the angels, dear Lenny.🙏✝️
